Obituary of James Gervato

James "Jimmy" Gervato, a husband, father, brother, uncle,pop pop and friend passed away on May 16 at his home in Vineland, NJ. He would have celebrated his 64th birthday on may 26th. Jimmy was one of the founding owners of Eatem Foods Co. in Vineland. After the death of his brother, Frank in 2001, succeeded him as President and CEO until his retirement in 2010. In the 70's and 80's, he enjoyed playing bass guitatr in a band called "Sunshine". he continued to enjoy music throughout his life and loved sharing his interest in playing piano with his first grandchild, Lucia. When not working, you would be sure to find Jimmy on the golf courses throughout the country. It gave him great pleasure of playing a round with his friends and son-in-laws. many fond memories will be shared over those experiences. His other interests included familt vacations, preparing his favorite recipes, a good meal out with his family and relaxing at his vacation homes in Sea Isle City and Stuart, Florida. He was best defined by his enormous generosity. His selflessness spread beyond his own family and reached out to many who were in need. He truley believed in giving back and lived it in every way.
