Obituary of Lucy M. Ferus

Lucy M. Ferus (Cifaloglio) passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at the South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Vineland. She was born in Vineland in 1932 to the late Michael and Carmela (Crescitelli) Cifaloglio. Lucy attended Clayton High School and she was a resident of Vineland since 1953 and a member of the Elks Lodge #580. She worked in the front end of several grocery stores throughout the area for over 30 years. She then spent the last 7 years employed by the Vineland Public School District as an assistant, where she quickly became a favorite of the children. Lucy had a big heart, always lending a helping hand to those in need. All who knew her were always welcome in her home for a delicious meal she had just whipped up. Her house was always full of friends and family enjoying each other's company. She is survived by her daughter Lucille Ferus of Oakland CA and her son Leo L. Ferus III of Vineland, her sister Ann Ehlen and brother-in-law Harry Ehlen of Buena and brother-in-law Lawrence Venere of Chicago, IL. She was predeceased by her husband Leophold Ferus Jr, her sister Philomena Venere, her brother Silvio Cifaloglio and sister-in-law Sue, her brother Pete Cifaloglio and sister-in-law Phil. A funeral home visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ and a church visitation Saturday 9am to 10 am at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2384 Landis Ave., Vineland. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am from Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2384 Landis Ave., Vineland. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
