Obituary of Jennie DiSpaldo

Jennie (Romano) DiSpaldo, 90 of Vineland died Wednesday April 16, 2008 in SJ Regional Healthcare Medical Center. Born in Parsons Pa. to the Late Lorenzo and Mary (Spera) Romano before moving to Vineland, where she remained a long time resident. A graduate of Vineland High School, Jennie also attended classes in Cumberland County College. She was employed for the family business; Vineland Transit Mix, founded by her father as a bookkeeper for several years. She was also employed by Mr. Bernie Brown of National Frieght for 14 years in Vineland. A member of Queen of Angels Parish the Church of St. Micael in Minotola Jennie was active in many of the church functions. Later, she was employed at the Church rectory office, and sat on the Parish Council. She was instramental in organizing mass participation, and the Church Bingo gatherings. Jennie was a member of the Sacred Heart Athletic Association. A self taught computer wiz, Jennie loved spending time on the computer especially sending e-mails to her family and friends. Her favorite pass time along with her late husband were trips to the Atlantic City Casinos. As an Italian Mother, she especially enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
