He was born in Pagliara, Sicily to Grazia (Prestipino) and Carmelo DiGiorgio. He moved to the United States in 1956 and settled in Vineland in 1957. In his early years he was employed at Uddo &Taormina Company in Vineland for 8 years before his employment at Joffe Lumber for 33 years. Francesco enjoyed gardening, hunting and traveling with his wife to Italy, Germany and visiting relatives. His joys in life were spending time with his family and friends, especially spoiling his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Giuseppina (Procopio) DiGiorgio; son, Carmen and his wife Lisa DiGiorgio; son, Frank and his wife Rose DiGiorgio; daughter Lisa and her husband Brian Simkins; grandsons Nicholas, Matthew, Frank Jr., and Brian; granddaughters Elisabeth and Jessica, mother-in-law Maria Procopio; several brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews and cousins, here, in Italy and Germany. He was predeceased by his parents Grazia (Prestipino) and Carmelo DiGiorgio, his sister Concettina, his brother Cosimo; father-in-law Giovanni Procopio and sister-in-law Rosa Cassisi. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Funeral home visitations will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Thursday from 8:45 am to 9:45 am at Rone Funeral Service. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at Divine Mercy Parish at 10:30 am. Entombment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery Garden Mausoleum.
