Obituary of Ronald DiDomenicop

DiDomenico, Ronald Anthony, 61, of Buena.died Wednesday at South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center after an extended illness, his loving family at his side. Mr. DiDomenico was the son of the late Daniel and Mary (Pantalione) DiDomenico and attended Saint Augustine Prep, enrolling in the very first class at the Richland school before completing his high school career at Vineland High School. As a teenager, he eagerly followed in the footsteps of his father and became a union mason out of Local 5, and through the years his incredible skills as a master bricklayer earned him the respect of peers throughout the region. Outside of work, he enjoyed motorcycling and relaxing with family and friends by fishing and crabbing New Jersey waters. He was also an accomplished winemaker, chef and enjoyed music and dancing to the doo-wop tunes of the 1950s. He was especially proud of his Italian heritage and was well versed in Italian music and literature. But most importantly he was a devoted father and grandfather, forever doting on his daughter, Gina, and grandchildren Trivigno and Gianna Scotti. Mr. DiDomenico was a former member of the Landisville Social Club, North Italy Club, Italian American Club and Vineland Recreation Club. In addition, he was a member of The Ville, a club assembled in the 1960s and comprised of proud Italian-American residents of Landisville. In addition to his daughter, Gina Scotti, her husband Thomas and their tow children, of Vineland, he is also survived by brother Daniel DiDomenico and wife Connie of Buena, niece Julieann Julia of Philadelphia, Nephews Joseph Julia of Philadelphia, John DiDomenico of Vineland and Dan DiDomenico of Holland, PA; great-nieces Ashley, Angilina, and Danielle, and great-nephews Andrew and Dean.. He was predeceased by his loving sister Graceann Julia, who he forever cherished, and brother-in-law Samuel "Spanky" Julia. Church Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 am to 11:45 am with the Funeral Liturgy to follow at 12 Noon from Queen Of Angels Parish At Church Of St. Michael, 504 West Avenue, Minotola. Final Disposition will be private.
