Obituary of Michael DiBiase

Rone Funeral Service 856-691-4222 Michael DiBiase, 88, of Vineland, passed away on April 2, 2010 after a brief illness. Born in Philadelphia, he was a lifelong resident of Vineland. He worked for seventeen years for the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department serving as Undersheriff and Chief Sheriff's Officer until his retirement in 1987. In his earlier years, he operated the family farm, was self employed in wholesale/retail egg sales and co-owned the Village Market. Mr. DiBiase was a member of the Main Road Fire Department and served as president. He was active as a coach in the Vineland Connie Mack league and was co-manager of the Melini Goodyear semi-pro baseball team. He was elected to the Greater Vineland Baseball League Hall of Fame in 2009. In his spare time he enjoyed painting landscapes, solving crossword puzzles, and was an avid gardener. He is survived by wife of 64 years, Jeanette (Giordano) DiBiase, Vineland, NJ; son and his wife, Michael & Kathleen DiBiase Jr., Vineland, NJ; son and his wife, Ronald & Louise DiBiase, Franklinville, NJ; brother and his wife, Peter & Catherine DiBiase, Vineland, NJ; sister-in-law, Susan DiBiase, Vineland, NJ; brother-in-law, Joseph Spatola, Vineland, NJ; grandson and his wife , Michael & Brienne DiBiase; grandson, Matthew; granddaughter and her husband, Lauren & Aaron Roche; grandson and his fiancee, Ryan & Michelle (DiCicco); grandson, Kevin; grandson, Justin; predeceased brother,Vincent DiBiase ; predeceased sister, Marie Spatola. A Church visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30am to 11am at Queen Of Angels Parish At Church Of St. Michael, 504 West Avenue, Minotola, NJ A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am from Queen Of Angels Parish At Church Of St. Michael, 504 West Avenue, Minotola. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
