Obituary of Frederick Daghini Jr.

Fred Daghini, 78, of Vineland passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, December 29, 2008. He was born in Vineland to the late Fred and Irene (Santini) Daghini where he was a life long resident. He was a Vineland High School graduate of the Class of 1947. Fred served in the Korean War from 1948 to 1952 and was one of the "Chosin Few". He worked at Vineland Electric Utility where he retired as a Generaal Supervisor after 38 years. Fred was a member of the Korean War Vets. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at his cabin in Maine, his family and spoiling his grandchildren. Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather. He is survived by his daughter Doris Wheeler and husband, Brian, his son Thomas Daghini and wife, Diane, granddaughters, Lauren (Daghini) DeHanes and husband Jason, Melissa Daghini, grandsons Brian Wheeler and Joseph Wheeler, great granddaughter, Juliette DeHanes, Aunt Josephine Legg and Uncle Pete Rossi, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Fred was predeceased by his wife of 36 years, Betty (Ruberti)Daghini, and brother Albert Thomas Daghini.
