Obituary of Leon Bronislaw Maldonado
Leon Bronislaw Maldonado, 35, of Buena, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. Leon was born in Bridgeton on July 1, 1984 to Ermelindo and the late Wanda (Dowgiert) Maldonado. He graduated from Buena Regional High School, Class of 2002 and was employed by the Carpenters Union, Local #255. Leon was a loving, compassionate and caring son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was happiest when he was with his family and friends. He was aspiring to become a stand-up comedian, as he absolutely loved comedy. Leon enjoyed hiking, loud music and cooking. He was highly skilled at woodcrafting and enjoyed making things for his friends and family. He enjoyed making people happy. Leon loved collecting and researching mushrooms. I guess you could say he was a "Fungi" (fun guy), get it? LOL. He will be greatly missed by all of his family, friends and all who knew him.
He is survived by his companion Alissa Mazerolle; children William and Aubrey Mazerolle; father Ermelindo Maldonado; sister Danielle Maldonado; nieces Tasia Melendez, Brianna Caraballo & Samantha Figueroa; great-nephew Grayson Gland; aunts & uncles Gaudiosa Maldonado, Carlos Maldonado, Ralph Maldonado, Jerzy & Heidi Dowgiert, Irena & Alfredo Bevins, Christina & Darryl Hill and Maria Dowgiert and many cousins.
Leon was predeceased by his mother Wanda Maldonado; paternal grandparents Amparo & Ermelindo Maldonado and his maternal grandparents Genowefa & Antioni Dowgiert.
A funeral home visitation will be on Wednesday, January 15 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. Final disposition will be private at the convenience of the family.
