I am saddened to read about the passing of Mrs. Scarpa. I had the pleasure of working with her for nine years when I served as principal of Winslow School. I happily recall the wonderful conversations I had with Mrs. Scarpa when I stopped by every day to visit the food service staff. She was indeed a very caring, personable and dedicated worker, who also had a great fondness for the students. She always had a ready smile for me, which made me feel great, even on those difficult days. Mrs. Scarpa was the one that informed me about the beautiful display at St. Barbara's Chapel at Christmas, which I had the opportunity to visit a number of times. I know she will be greatly missed and I was very fortunate and blessed to have her as part of my Winslow School community.
May your wonderful memories of Mrs. Scarpa bring you all comfort, as my memories of her will bring me comfort, too. I would very much like to attend her memorial service when one is scheduled. I extend to the Scarpa family my sincerest sympathy. My thoughts and prayers surround you all! Rest in Peace, Mrs. Scarpa. May the angels lead you to your rightful place in Paradise!
