To Linda, Sandy and the family and friends of Jackie,
Jackie was my best friend many years ago in late grade school and high school in Vineland. She was one of the most wonderful and giving people that I have met in my life. She impacted my life in a very positive way at a very critical time for me and I have never forgotten that to this day. Her wonderful caring nature was an integral part of her and lasted for her entire life. I was able to keep track of Jackie from a distance over the years.
I married and moved overseas many years ago. As a result, Jackie and I lost touch. Amazingly, my wife's parents were the very best friends of Jackie's parents from grade school days. My wife's sister Denise is still best friends with Linda and they speak on an everyday basis. Our love for and history with this wonderful family actually spans back to the 40's and has spanned the many generations since. This very important type of family to family love is very rare in today's world.
I had the chance to recently see Jackie again after many years and we looked at each other and just cried. It was a brief moment, but significant in that the love had never faded a bit. I am very happy for that moment.
Jackie was a wonderful person and she will be greatly missed. I wish Linda, Sandy and Jackie's family and friends strength as they deal with this very sad time in their lives.
