Obituary of Mary Curio

Mary Jane A. (Frole) Curio, 81, of Vineland and formerly of Millville went home to the Lord on March 29, 2011 at South Jersey Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Curio was born in Chicago. She lived the past 49 years in Vineland and Millville. Prior to moving to South Jersey, she was a private secretary in the aeronautics industry. Subsequently, she was a devoted full-time homemaker and mother. Mrs. Curio enjoyed a wide variety of interests including great old jazz (of which she had an encyclopedic knowledge), world history and cultures, classic movies, Italian cooking, flowers and all things Chicago. Mrs. Curio was predeceased by her parents, Thomas F. Sr. and Roxie (Fornataro) Frole, her brother Rocco Romano and her husband of 39 years, George M. Curio. She is survived by her brother Thomas F. Frole Jr. and wife Camille of Park Ridge, IL; son Alex Curio and wife Joan of Vineland and daughters Georgia M. Curio of Vineland and Maria (Curio) DeSimine and husband Joseph of Vineland. Her grandchildren, whom she adored and who adored her - Nicole Curio and husband Kevin Jinks of Blackwood; Matthew Curio and Kelly Lubertine of Baltimore and Sammy, Jake and Luke DeSimine of Vineland. Survivors also include sisters-in-law Geraldine Watson of Vineland and Angela Ford and husband James of Middlesex as well as brother-in-law Michael Curio of Roselle Park along with several special nieces and nephews and many dear friends. A Church Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9am to 11:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 am from Saint Isidore The Farmer Church, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
