Our condolences to Thressa's family, friends and Spring Oak Staff. She was a sweetheart of a lady, her smile and wit will be missed by all she touched. Spending time with her was always a joy and she kept me on my toes, you never knew what she might say next. Thressa, rest in peace, at almost 103 you have earned it.

Our Aunt Thressa was a very unique person. We all know what that means
She followed a road that women just didn’t follow in the 1940’s and 50’s
She was dedicated to her Nursing career, to her patients, her students and her family
Thressa only did things one way. For her it was “The right way, the first time and every time”
She could be tough on her students, because she knew the value of doing things right!
She was a second Mom to my sister and I, she kept an "eye" on us, and
wasn't afraid to ask you “what’s going on” and how your grades in school? If she bought me a book as a present to read (World War II battle stories) she’d ask me if I read it, and what did I learn!
At her house was this huge piece of furniture that held a radio, TV and a record player. Those were the first records I ever handled…it tweaked my interest in music.
Thressa was taking classes in Philadelphia back when the Phillies collapsed and lost the National Pennant in 1964; she was really happy when they won the world Series in 1980 and 2008!! I think that’s one of the reasons our family loves the Phillies, but aren’t afraid to call them “bums” when they lose.
Thressa worked hard to make Vineland a better place.
She was open to new ideas, but she always gave you a straight answer when you asked her a question.
She was one of a kind. She was “old school” but has a flair for fashion
We’re happy about the time we had with her, and she is already missed
Thank you Thressa for teaching us to be our own person and Doing things the right way the first time and ever time. God Bless You
