Dear Lorraine and Family,
We were so saddened to hear of Giavanni's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Our family has very fond memories of Giovanni dating back to when you owned the store in Vineland to visiting you and Giovanni in Sea Isle. Our dad Joe thought very highly of both of you and spoke of Giovanni often. He loved to be able to speak Italian with somebody! He was so proud of our culture. Even when our dad was going through chemo, he loved to go to Sea Isle relax by the ocean and couldn't leave without saying hi to his pizzon. excuse the spelling. Now they are both in Heaven having this awesome conversation in Italian I'm sure. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity shown to all of us.
May God Bless You and give you the strength to get through this time and cherish the memories as will we of a kind and loving man.
With our sincerest condolences, Joanne Gibbons and Ruben and Antoinette Ocasio

Giovanni was and always will be an integral part of my life. I worked for him and Lorraine in Sea Isle City in the 90’s and have always remained close to them, even today. Giovanni taught me how to treat people with respect and to always put your best into everything you do, especially when it came to making food. As a young Irish lad the odds were against me from the start but this wonderful man shaped me into the mini chef I am today. He always had a wonderful sense of humor and I yearned to gain the respect of people that he always had from the moment I met him. He was the type of person that everyone loved to be around. Giovanni always had a lesson to teach me and my crew and we were always eager to learn from him. For the last several years he treated my son and fiancé as if they were family and he was always glad to see us. I will be forever grateful for having this wonderful soul in my life, Angels don’t only live in heaven and in fact this one I was blessed to come upon in Sea Isle City, NJ! His legacy will live on with my family and I FOREVER!

God Speed to Giovanni, we miss him so much. We moved to Sea Isle permanently in 2005, and both he and Lorraine were so friendly to us and made us feel welcome. I enjoyed so much going into the store in SIC and having him greet me a "sonny"...and we joked for so many hours....
He is a true treasure and a gift to us all....I visited with him a few times per week and enjoyed every minute. Love and Prayers to Lorraine and the family....we miss you so much.

I am making a special effort to contact the family of Giovanni to send my condolences, and to bring you some comfort from the scriptures which I found to be consoling with a wonderful hope for the future. Notice what it says in John 5:28, 29, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." Also, Revelation 21:4 says, "And I will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." So this is very encouraging what God promises for the future, and in God's appointed time we will see the reality. Please visit the jw.org website for answers to many Bible questions. Again, my condolences for your loss.
