Obituary of Edward Curcio

Edward Joseph Curcio Sr., 84 of Newfield died Friday evening July 23, 2010, at homeafter a brief illness. A lifelong Newfield residence, he was born on February 26, 1926 to the late Vincenzo and Rose Curcio. Eddie was the youngest of twelve children. He was born and raised on the family farm in newfield and operated it with his brother Charlie for many years before starting his produce Brokerage business, Twin State Farms of New Jersey. Eddies interests includedgoing to the casino, horse racing and spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching baseball especially the N.Y. Yankees. He was a memeber of the Landisville Produce Co-op, the Vineland Produce auction and the Landisville Social Club where he enjoyed spending time with his many friends. Eddie was predeceased by his wife of 40 years June Curcio, five brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his two sons, Edward Curcio Jr. and his wife Michelle of Buena Vista Township and Robert Curcio and his wife Debbie of Newfield. One sister, Helen Juliana of Minotola, two brothers Fred Curcio of Vineland and Albert Curcio of Newfield. Four grandchildren, Selena Callan of Mullica Hill, Ryan Curcio of Newfield, Mia and Michael Curcio of Buena Vista Township and three great grandchildren Brooke, Jenna and Jared Callan of Mullica Hill. Eddie had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others. He will truly be missed by all that knew him. A funeral home visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, July 27, 2010 from 9:15 to 11:15 AM at the Rone Funeral Service.
