Obituary of Daniel Bogatin Rudolph

Daniel B. Rudolph, 83, of Vineland, passed away at home under the care of Heartland Hospice with his wife of 38 years and caregiver for the past seven years, Barbara, by his side. Besides his wife, Dan is survived by his children Harriet Gewirtz of Belle Harbor, NY; Jill King (Brian) of Finksburg, MD; Verne Joyce (Marianne) of Vineland; and Shaina Rudolph (David) of Los Angeles, CA; his five granddaughters: Sarah Gewirtz, April and Erin King, Hannah Joyce, and Harlie Uslan. His sister-in-law, Pearl Nichols and many nephews, nieces and cousins along with dear friends Kathy and Dean Leech, Tarin Leech, Danielle KL Frances and her daughter Brianna Badger. Dan was predeceased by his beloved parents, Alfred and Hilda Rudolph and brother Morton Rudolph. Dan was born on December 15, 1935, and was always proud to say he had lived in Vineland his entire life. After graduation from Lincoln Prep School in Philadelphia, Dan attended Atlantic City School of Business and Commerce. Dan and Mort were in various businesses together, the most prevalent being Rudolph and Sons where at first they held a patent on and sold drug medicators for chickens and later became distributors of water filters. After Mort's death, Barbara worked with Dan in the business until his retirement in 1997. The race track and casinos were Dan's favorite pastimes. In his later years Dan attended daily services at Beth Israel Congregation, was a member of Beth Israel Men's Club, was a member of and a volunteer for Hebrew Women's Benevolent and volunteered for Beth Israel Sisterhood. Services will be held at Beth Israel Congregation, 1015 E. Park Ave., Vineland, on Monday, January 28, 2019, at 11:00AM with visitation at 10:00AM. Interment will be at Alliance Cemetery in Norma directly following the service. Shivah will be observed at the residence of the decedent.
