Obituary of Wilbert Marquis Lopez Jr

Wilbert "Bill" "Lopey" Marquis Lopez Jr. took his final nap on January 8, 2019 at a meeting amongst friends in Vineland, NJ. He is welcomed into heaven by his wife Flo; his parents Wilbert & Dorothy Lopez; his former wife, Ruth Hoyle and his sister Jean. He enjoyed a happy life of fishing, playing cards, and vacationing at Wildwood every summer where endless ice cream and Mack's Pizza was served. He certainly loved a good nap, but most importantly lived a generous life of love and adventure, always there to help a friend in need. He was a life long member of the Verga volunteer fire company for over 40 years and as a union painter. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his children, Karen Brown (Scott), Gale, Bill (Mary), and Bob Lopez (Ellen); his stepchildren, Terry, Rosie, Cindy, Laura, Edna, Michael and Louie; his sister Dottie; his grandchildren, Lauren (Kyle), Sarah, Josh, Alex, Wil, Abbey and Olyvia, many step-grandchildren, including a special grandson, Mark. He will also be missed by many loyal friends who became family, especially Jim, Tina and his meeting buddies. He also leaves behind his beloved canine companion "Fluffer". A funeral home visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 12pm to 2pm followed by a funeral service at 2pm from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Final disposition will be private at the convenience of the family.
