Obituary of Mary Lou Carli

Mary Lou Carli, 96, of Vineland, NJ passed away peacefully on October 27, 2018. She was born in Coaldale, PA and was the daughter of the late Carlo & Rose (Lugiano) Castagna. She was married in 1952 to the love of her life, the late Pio Carli. They were married for 47 wonderful years. She was one of 5 siblings, the late Ernest Castagna, Bartholomew Castagna, Dorthy Fojtik, and survived by her youngest sister Rose Hitchens. She is survived by her twin daughters, Marlene Girard (Husband Charles) and Mary Ann Bonino (deceased Husband Joseph). She has left quite a legacy with five adoring grandchildren; Michael Bonino, John Bonino(Wife Tammy), Beth Ann Bratton(Husband Patrick), Monique Girard & Charles Girard(Wife Mikelle). All eight of her great-grandchildren Morgan Bonino, Carli Bonino, Victoria Bonino, Grier Girard, Enzo Popescu, Marina Girard, Arno Popescu and Lauren Ann Bratton have been blessed to know her and will remember her lovingly. She worked in the clothing industry for more than 30 years at Major Clothing Company of Vineland. She had a passion for praying the Rosary, cooking, baking and most of all, family. Many meals were served at the Carli Café of Montrose Terrace to passing family and friends. Her Christmas cookies were the sensation of Vineland and were coveted by all that received them as gifts. On Saturday, November 3, 2018, a viewing will be held at 10 am followed by a mass to celebrate Mary Lou's life at 11 am at Sacred Heart Church, 1010 E. Landis Ave, Vineland. The Family asks that memorials be sent to the Sisters of Mary Immaculate of Nyeri at 400 State Street, Elmer NJ 08318.
