Obituary of Rita F. DeVecchis

Rita F. (Giordano) DeVecchis of the Forest Grove section of Franklin Township passed away May 18, 2018. She was born to parents Paul and Frances (Guinta) Giordano on July 31, 1927. She was a partner in the family business P & F Giordano's Fruit and Produce located on the N.E. corner of 9th and Washington Ave in the Italian Market section of South Philadelphia. She was married to the love of her life Gaetano DeVecchis for over 55 years until his passing in 2003. After retiring from the family business, she and her husband opened Gaetano's Italian Farm Market located on the N.E. corner of Main Road and Harding (Route 40) Hwy. She passed away under the care of her daughter Mary F. Musto, son in law Louis Musto, and granddaughter Heather Ann Musto. She is also survived by children: Angela (Ray) Vagnoni, Frances Bruno, Andrew (Deborah) DeVecchis, Pauletta (Larry) Berger, and Andrea Dea, 14 other grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, brother Paul P. Giordano, sister Theresa LoMonaco, 3 sisters in laws, 2 brothers in laws, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A church visitation will be held on Friday, June 1st from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. at the St. Isidore Church, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland, NJ. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery Vineland, NJ 08360.
