Obituary of Charles Crispin
Charles E. Crispin, age 70, of Minotola, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 after complications with heart surgery.
Charlie was a lifelong resident of Southern New Jersey. The last thirty years he resided in Minotola. He was a graduate of Kings Highway High School in Swedesboro. Immediately following high school, Charlie enlisted in the US Navy where he served on the USS Tattnall as a Boilerman Class A with the rank of Petty Officer 2nd class. He continued serving in the Naval Reserves until 1970 after active duty.
Charlie's career spanned over 45 years in the commercial refrigeration and air conditioning industry. Most recently he worked with Cold Technology in Blackwood, NJ as the Director of Field Service Operations since 1991 - he considered Frankie, Chris and Sandy his family.
Charlie was a selfless person always willing to help his neighbors, friends and family with home projects and was a past volunteer fire fighter.
He was an avid fisherman with two boats. He also loved watching the Philadelphia Eagles play football and win! Charlie absolutely loved playing his iPad. Charlie's greatest times were spent with friends and family at Lake Kandle Campground in Sewell.
He is survived by his wife Linda of 30 years, his step-son Don Zane and wife Crystal, his step-daughter Lori Juhasz and her husband Dave. He had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, Maddie Zane and Nick Juhasz . They both loved spending time with Papa.
In addition to his family, Charlie is survived by lifelong friends turned family Julie and Mickey Ott of Minotola. Carole King of Fairless Hills Pa & Sr. Maryanne King CSR of Huntingdon Valley Pa - Linda's Cousins who adopted Charlie as their "brother Charlie".
He also survived by his parents Edmund & Beatrice Crispin of Harrisonville, NJ , sisters Beverly Tomarchio (Joseph), Kathy Cartwright (Peter) and Jo Ann Crispin.
Cheryl and Robert Scardino (daughter and son-in law) Michael and Robyn (son and daughter in law) and four grandchildren.
