To the Gruccio family:
I just found out that Judge Gruccio had passed away in February, when I saw the article in Judiciary Times magazine. I am so sorry I did not find out at the time of his death so Icould have attended his services and expressed my condolences and sense of loss personally.
I am the son of Ed Miller, of Millville, and had the pleasure and honor of serving as a judge in Cape May County (and one day in Cumberland County) for several months back in 1982, when I was a Superior Court judge myself. Before that, I had known Phil for many years as a friend of my father, who told me that Phil had actually acted as my babysitter as a very young child, which Phil confirmed.
He was a wonderful man and a wise judge. The world is a poorer place with him gone. I am a better man for having known him. My sincerest condolences to all of you, even at this late date. Louis H. Miller, now residing in Hopewell (Mercer County), NJ.
