Obituary of Else Berg

Else (Geisel) Berg, age 100, of Media, Pa. died Monday, January 29, 2018 in Media, Pa. Mrs. Berg was born January 17, 1918 in Germany. Else was a Holocaust survivor who left Germany in l938. She went to Kenya, Africa as a young bride and remained in Kenya as a cattle farmer before moving to the Norma area. She resided in Vineland for many years before moving to Martin's Run in Media, Pa. and lived there for almost 20 years. Else is survived by her nieces, Lynn Geisel, of Flushing, N. Y. Helen Kaufman, of Monroe Township, NJ., Claire (Harold) Block of Vineland, N. J. and nephew Egon (Marge) Berg of Ho-Ho-Kus, N. J. She is also survived by 6 great nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews and one great great great niece. She was married to the late Ernest Berg who died in 1985,. She is also predeceased by her son, Philip Berg in 2011, her sister, Kaethe Heimann in 1985 and brother Fritz Geisel in 1985. . Rabbi Meryl Crean will officiate the services at RONE FUNERAL SERVICE 1110 E. Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, N. J. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 11am. Burial will follow in Alliance Cemetery, Gershal Avenue, Norma, N. J. Family and friends are invited to the home of Claire and Harold Block after services.
