I had the privilege of working with Eleonor at the Department of Labor. Her and I had many beautiful conversations and I will miss her smile. She had a beautiful spirit and I am happy that I had the honor of getting to know her for the short time I did. I extend prayers to Eleonor's family at this time. May you find some comfort in each other and fond memories of Eleonor.

Mothers and daughters in law share a unique and strange relationship, sometimes strained, sometimes awkward. I can truly say without room for any doubt that Eleonor loved me and I loved her. I will miss our playful banter, I will miss her continual invitation to go with her to church, I will miss her "you haven't come over in a while" or "why haven't you called" and most of all I will miss sharing a cup of coffee in the kitchen and talking about all things church and family. We shared faith and love for Jesus and we both knew that eventually we'd be temporarily separated here on earth. Nonetheless my heart is broken and so is the heart of all of you who loved and knew her. I pray for myself, my husband, my kids, and all of you our loving family in this hardest time. May the God of Peace help us through these hard days!
