Obituary of G. Thomas Ambrose

G. Thomas Ambrose, 89, of Vineland went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2017 at the Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland. Tom was born in Vineland and graduated from Sacred heart High School where he excelled at basketball and baseball. He had an illustrious baseball career, playing for several teams in the semi-professional North American League. he was a standout hitter and base stealer. In 2000, he was inducted into the Greater Vineland Baseball League Hall of Fame. he was an avid Phillies fan. Tom served his country in the United States Army and Merchant Marines in Korea and was awarded the Bronze StareMedal. He later owned and operated his own mechanical contracting business. Tom was an outdoor enthusiast who loved gardening, fishing and hunting. He was a proud member of the Menantico Gun Club.
