Obituary of Charlotte M. Connor

Charlotte M. Connor Physical Therapist Charlotte M. (Moore) Connor, dear mother, grandmother, friend, and long-time resident of Vineland, departed this life peacefully and quietly on November 20, 2007 at 6:45pm due to an extended illness. Born in Trenton, NJ to the late Arthur A. and Bertha E. (Burrell) Moore, she pioneeredthe racial integration of Franklin Elementary School and Junior High School #4. She graduated from Trenton High School top in her class and proceeded to West Virginia State University where she graduated in 3 years in 1945. After graduation, she attended New Yourk University where she obtained her Masters in Biology and her Certification in Physical Therapy. Charlotte held working positions at the US Public Health Service in New York City, the Veterans Administrative Hospital in New Orleans, and the Cerebral Palsy Center in Newport News, Virginia. In 1963, Charlotte moved to Vineland, NJ with her husband, Joseph P. Connor and their children. Upon moving to Vineland, she continued her career as a physical therapist at Newcomb Hospital where she was employed for 26 years. Upon her retirement, she continued her work as a Physical therapist with the City of Vineland Home Health Agency (CNS). She served as a Eucharistic Minister and held a seat on the advisory committee for the City of Vineland Home Health Agency. Charlotte was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and organized the Grandparents Association of St. Francis of Assisi Parish where she was an active member. Throughtout her life, Charlotte was an avid reader and traveler, however her favorite times where spent with her family and friends.
