Obituary of Lena Comparri

Lena (Palmieri) Comparri, 90, of Landisville, passed away Saturday April 17, at the South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Vineland. Lena was born in Dalzell, IL. and was a Landisville resident most of her life. She was the daughter of the late John and Ida (Castagnoli) Palmieri. Lena was a seamstress for Model Blouse Co. for many years. Prior to her retirement, she was a line worker for IGI Inc. in Buena. Lena enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her yard and garden. She was an avid collector of Hummel figurines, vintage glassware and was a parishioner of Queen of Angels Parish. Lena is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Dolores (Mesiano) Comparri Jr. of Richland, her granddaughter and fiancé Melissa Comparri and Tony Maurelli of Minotola, her granddaughter and husband, Franchesca and Tommy Nanna of South Amboy, and her grandson and girlfriend Frank Comparri III and Colleen Gaughan of Minotola. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lena was predeceased by her husband Frank Comparri Sr. (2005), her brothers: Aldo, Raymond and Angelo, her sisters Janet Nese and Edith Lera. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 21 from 9:30am to 11am followed by a chapel service at 11am at the Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victories Cemetery in Landisville.
