Obituary of Thaise Marie Giacalone

Thaise "Tess" (Collins) Giacalone, 92, of Vineland, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2017 at the NJ Veteran's Memorial Home. She was born in Alpina, Michigan to the late Alexander and Catherine Collins. Tess moved to Vineland with her late husband Michael after World War II. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Kimble Glass prior to her retirement. Tess loved sewing and quilting and was a member of the Garden Patch Quilters Club. She also loved working for the church and many charities. Tess was one of the original founding members of St. Isidore The Farmer Church. She was also a member of The Altar and Rosary Society and the Legion of Mary. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Griselda Giacalone, of Vineland; her daughter Anna Giacalone-Gottschaldt and her husband Kenneth of Wilmington, DE. and her granddaughter, Angela Giacalone. A church visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30am to 11:30am followed by a funeral mass at 11:30 am from Christ The Good Shepherd Parish - Church Of Saint Isidore The Farmer, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
