Obituary of Julia E. Spinelli

Julia E. Spinelli, age 95 of Vineland, NJ, passed on November 11, 2016 from natural causes after a brief illness surrounded by her two sons and their spouses. Julia was born in Brockton, Massachusetts, daughter of Anthony and Mary Barnabei. She had 11 brothers and sisters: John Barnabei, Josephine Marghella, Rose Darminio, Louise Jacob, Viola Curcio, Caroline (Nina) Jennings, Lilian Castellini, Louis Barnabei, Anthony Barnabei, Albert Barnabei, and Margaret Jacobson. Julia was married to Angelo F. Spinelli, who passed in 1981 in Vineland, NJ. Julia went to Vineland High School and worked at Kimble Glass and Dale Fashions Clothing on Oxford Street in Vineland, NJ. She was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union (ILGWU). Julia loved to travel and to see faraway places. She was an in home tailor when young, fixing clothing for the entire family. Julia was a loyal spouse to Angelo after his death for over 30 years. She loved to have her grandchildren and great grandchildren come home and visit. She loved doing word finds and crossword puzzles. Her passion was in the garden, growing vegetables and flowers. Julia was a hard worker and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmom. She is survived by sons Charles A. Spinelli and Doreen of Vineland, Paul F. Spinelli and Josephine of Vineland, Grandchildren Stefanie Kreider and Karl of Wilmington, Delaware, Debbie Spinelli of Las Vegas, Nevada, Gregory Spinelli and Lynn of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Paul A. Spinelli and Heather of Kingsville, Maryland, Great grandchildren Emeline and Ava Kreider, Jacoby Spinelli, and Angelo Spinelli, Brother Albert Barnabei, Sister Margaret Jacobson, and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and in-laws. Julia is predeceased by her husband, Angelo, brothers John Barnabei, Anthony Barnabei, and Louis Barnabei, and sisters Rose Darminio, Josephine Marghella, Louis Jacob, Viola Curcio, Nina Jennings, and Lilian Castellini. Julia was the rock of the family, is loved, and will be missed tremendously by her family and friends.
