Obituary of Joseph Leon Soracco

Joseph L. Soracco, 84 of Vineland passed away on Saturday morning October 29, at home surrounded by his devoted family after an extended illness. Born in Vineland to the late Raymond and Catherine (Mazzoli) Soracco where he remained a life long resident. After attending Vineland High School Joe served in the US Army for two years. Upon completion of his military service he joined the Vineland police department and served for eight years before joining the Cumberland County Prosecutors office where he was employed for the next thirty years obtaining the level of County Detective Captian before his retirement in 1993. Joe loved spending time with his family and friends, and gardening during his retirement, and well known as an avid Philadelphia Flyers, and Phillies fan. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Phyllis (Trivelli) Soracco, the lights of his life daughter and her husband, Anita and Jim Larkey, son and his wife Joseph Raymond and Kelly Soracco. Also surviving are his two grandsons, Andrew Larkey, and Lucas Soracco, and one granddaughter, Samantha Soracco, and many brothers and sisters-in-laws, cousins, nephews and nieces.
