Obituary of Ronald Markizon

Dr. Ronald "Ronnie" S. Markizon, 73, of Vineland and Ventnor, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 with his family and friends by his side. Ronnie was married to his wife, Joan, for more than 50 years. They have three children, Jodi, Jamie (Jennifer) and Jason (Adeline), and 5 grandchildren, Julie, Jacob, Zachary, Rachael and John. He was the older brother to Bruce Markizon and Joy Raphael. Ronnie loved and was cherished by his wonderful mother-in-law, Nana Dot. Ronnie was a treasured husband, father and grandfather, and truly lived for his family. He was a close friend to so many, uncle, cousin and nephew to others, and loved by all. He was an extremely respected podiatrist, dedicated to and adored by his patients. He was very fortunate to work with a wonderful staff, who affectionately referred to him as "Dr. M", or "Dad". He coached soccer, played tennis, travelled, and was an active 40-year member of Congregation Beth Israel. He especially enjoyed organizing the weekend tennis games for all the guys. Friends will be received at the funeral home starting at 9:30 am on Friday, September 2, 2016. A funeral service will follow at 11am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Alliance Cemetery, Norma.
