Lucy was my step-mother from when I was age 9 upward. My father loved her very much and took good care of us all. Lucy was a most terrific cook and fantastic wife and mother to her children. I wish my half-sisters Sandra and Sonya all my deepest condolences on this loss. I send all my love to both their families too.

I was making a special effort to contact the family of Lucy to send my condolences, and to bring you some comfort from the scriptures which I found to be consoling with a wonderful hope for the future. Notice what it says in John 5:28, 29, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." Also, Revelation 21:4 says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." So this is very encouraging what God promises for the future, and in God's appointed time we will see the reality. Again, my condolences for your loss.
