Obituary of Joseph A Agostini

Joseph A. Agostini, 83, of Vineland, passed away on June 22, 2016, at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland. Joe was a 1950 graduate of Vineland High School, he also attended Pierce Business School. Joe served in the Korean War until 1954. He was a Purchasing Agent for the City of Vineland for over 43 years. Joe's other accomplishments in life include being a General Chairman of the Greater Vineland United Way, President and 20-year Executive Director of the Governmental Purchasing Association of New Jersey, Editor of the City of Vineland newsletter "Tattler", Chairman of the Joint Purchasing Conference, South Jersey Chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP), Purchasing Manager of the Year by the same chapter, co-adjutant instructor fro Rutgers University where he taught Principles of Public Purchasing for many years, President of Sacred heart Grammer and High School PTA and a valued speaker at many seminars and fund raising activities to benefit city and community agencies. He was an avid golfer, 3 hole-in-one, he also enjoyed fishing, playing pinochle and enjoyed spending time with his family.
