Sorry to hear of the loss of such a wonderful teacher and woman. She taught my daughter, Sierra Miller for second grade at Duran. She was Sierra's favorite teacher. We were just talking about her. She will be missed. Our hearts are broken at the news for her passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers!!

May God rest her soul, and may her memory be eternal. i will remember many things about working with Shirley, but my fondest will be her creating pottery in the Art room. She thoroughly enjoyed the entire process...but I enjoyed more the bonding we shared. They say that happens when you "break bread" together...well, we "broke clay"! May God bless you all.

Dear Grussenmeyer Family...
I was so sad to hear of Shirley's passing...I worked with her at Durand School before we both retired...she was always such a class act. She expected much of herself and her students and got it from them. I will think of her fondly as you go about the business of laying her to rest. May the arms of angels and the hope you have through our Heavenly Father keep you in this time. Sending love and prayers to you all...

May your memories give you comfort and peace. Shirley was a wonderful person, full of love for her family and her students. Her memory will live on in those she loved and those who loved her.

So sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you during this time. Shirley had such a wonderful spirit and we are blessed that she was able to touch our twins with her love, comparison, and spirit at Durand school. We know she is walking those streets of gold and seeing his face with no suffering. ❤️

Shirley was an amazing colleague. I met her at Durand when she and I were both in second grade. I ate lunch with her every day and was inspired by her healthy eating habits. she always had good things to say about people. then when I was struggling to decide about a 4 th grade position I went to Shirley for guidance. I then taught 4 th grade with her and began a friendship. She was classy and pleasant. I loved hearing about her travels. She was a woman to emulate with her grace and poise. I send prayers and thoughts to her family.
