Obituary of Helen Butler

Helen "Laney" M. Butler - 66, of Rosenhayn, NJ passed away at her home with family at her side on May 30, 2016. Born in Bridgeton, NJ she had been an area resident her entire life. She was a graduate of Bridgeton High School and retired from the Cumberland County Courthouse. Laney was predeceased by her mother: Jeanne Miller, father: Charles James Evers and her brother: James Charles Evers. Surviving are her husband: Honorable Robert F. Butler, two daughters: Stephanie Weber of Bridgeton, NJ and Penny Gallemore and her husband Kevin of McGuire AFB, NJ. In addition her grandchildren, Ava Laughlin, Sophia Woods, and Tristan, Trace, Tripp, Tressa and Tradyn Gallemore. Helen "Laney" M. Butler. On the afternoon of May 30, 2016, Laney passed away peacefully at home with family by her bedside. Laney was 66 years old. She was born in Bridgeton, NJ on March 14, 1950 and was the daughter of Jeannie Miller and Charles "Moose" James Evers of Cedarville, NJ. Laney attended Bridgeton High School where during her high school years found her lifelong friend Devon Wheaton. Laney worked as a court clerk at the Cumberland County Courthouse and retired after over 20 years of dedicated service. Laney had a love for being outdoors and spent many hours tending her gardens and beautiful yard. She was an avid painter, her talent and artistic abilities amazed and touched so many people. Laney married the love of her life on December 3, 1994 to the Hon. Robert "Bobby" F. Butler. Together they traveled throughout the country creating lifelong memories. Bobby introduced golf to Laney which developed into a love for the game. This love proved her to be a natural talent scoring a 100 within her first year of playing. She is loved deeply by her husband, daughters, and seven grandchildren. Laney is predeceased in death by her parents Jeannie Miller, Charles Evers and her brother James "Jimmie" Evers. Laney is survived by her husband the Honorable Robert F. Butler; daughters Stephanie Weber and Penny Gallemore of Stow Creek, NJ and her husband Kevin Gallemore of Houston, TX. Nephews Jason Evers, Michael Evers and Jesse Evers and his wife Quierra of Dover, DE; and her seven grandchildren; Ava Laughlin and Sophia Woods, Tristan, Trace, Tripp, Tressa and Tradyn Gallemore.
