Obituary of Sue Lorito

Sue (Capano) Lorito, 99, of Vineland, the last of the Capano roses, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2016 at Bishop McCarthy Center. Born in Vineland to the late Salvatore & Katarina (Scarpa) Capano and remained a lifelong resident. Growing up she worked on the family farm in north Vineland, In the early 1950's she worked for D.C. Angelo Tobacco Co. where she slit open the celophane packing of cigarettes purchase in vending machine, she then inserted the two pennies change and then resealed the pack. She later worked for Kimble Glass in the cafateria and later in the lamp room. She retired after 28 years. Being retired for only a few months, she then went to work at Buena Vista Country Club, where everyone knew her as Aunt Sue and her "Wedding Soup" was a favorite to everyone and known to all. She worked there for 26 years. Sue was a member of Sacred Heart Church, North Vineland Ladies Auxillary and the Vineland Socialites. Her main love was her family and friends. Everyone knew that on Mondays there was always a pot of soup on the stovee and always enough for family and friends to take home. Her family would like to thank the nuns and staff of Bishop McCarthy Center for their wonderful care of Sue.
