Obituary of Grace J Raffaelli

Grace J. Raffaelli (Piccione), 86, of Vineland, NJ died suddenly Sunday, January 10, 2016 at South Jersey Regional Hospital with family by her side. Grace was born in Vineland on February 3, 1929 to the late Rose (Rosati) and Peter Piccione. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1946 and attended Glassboro State College. Her career was primarily spent in banking as a bookkeeper and teller at First National Bank in Newfield, NJ followed by several years at Landis Savings and Loan Assn. from where she retired in 1985. Grace served on the P.T.A. of Sacred Heart and St. Francis Parochial Schools. She enjoyed being a Den Mother for Cub Pack 36 and a Girl Scout Leader for her daughter's troop. She was active in the Vineland Chamber of Commerce. Grace was a member of both Sacred Heart and St. Francis of Assisi parishes. In retirement, Grace enjoyed taking art lessons and painting for her own enjoyment. Her other hobbies included reading, cooking and solving crossword puzzles and word searches. In addition to her parents, Grace was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, L. Peter Raffaelli whom she married on September 14, 1952 and her son-in-law, Gil Langlois. In addition, she leaves behind her brother, Joseph Piccione (Dolores) and her sister, Maria Porreca (Paul) and her brother-in-law Mario Raffaelli (Catherine) as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be dearly missed by her children: Richard (Carol) of Wilmington, DE; Louis of Wilmington, DE and Lisa Langlois (Richard Fiorani) of Hopewell, NJ. Her great joys were her grandchildren: Ryan Raffaelli (Teresa) of Towson, MD; Todd Raffaelli (Shelly) of Quincy, MA; Laura Archambault (Barry) of Downingtown, PA and Cheyenne Langlois of Hopewell, NJ. "Great Big Grandmom" was especially grateful for her times spent with her precious great-grandchildren: Trent, Holden, Garrett and Vivian Raffaelli and Evan Archambault. She was looking forward to the birth of Evan's little brother in May. A church visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at The Church of St. Isidore, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Final disposition will be private. Arrangements are under the supervision of Rone Funeral Service, 1110 E. Chestnut Ave., Vineland, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Grace's memory to Deborah Hospital Foundation, P.O.
