Obituary of Angelo Galli

Angelo Galli, Sr., 93, of Vineland died suddenly at Inspira Hospital Vineland on Saturday. Born in Col di Peccio, Italy on March 23, 1922 he came to America prior to World War II. He joined the US Navy during WWII serving as a Gunnersmate aboard the light cruiser Marblehead. He spent his early years in the coal mines of Pennsylvania, owned a bar, and later became a mason by trade. He moved to Vineland in the 1950's working as a mason for Pagano Construction Company and for the Vineland Developmental Center from which he retired. He was a lifetime-charter member of the North Italy Club. Angelo is survived by his son, Angelo, and daughter in law, Karen, of Pennsylvania, a grandson Dr. Jon Galli, MD and wife Elana of Philadelphia. His wife Jean, step son, William Emow and Pam, of Salem, step daughter, Gail Emow, of Vineland, and grand daughters, Allison Emow and fiancé Matthew James of Colorado, and Lindsay Emow of Virginia, Denise Ciulla of Vineland, and Karen Ciulla of Pennsylvania. Brother and sister in law, Giovanni and Bettina Galli, of Italy, nephew Gianfranco, nieces Roberta and Rita, of Italy. He was pre-deceased by his parents Francesco and Elizabeth (Poledri) Galli, his first wife Mary (Moran), daughter and son in law, Elizabeth and Biaggio Ciulla, and his brother Salvadore. A funeral home visitation will be held on Thursday December 31, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am followed by a Funeral service beginning at 11:00 am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland.
