As one of his homeroom boys in the mid sixties, I can say he was a gentleman, a firm teacher and friend with a great sense of humor. We were all there in Homeroom when Ms. Rossi's car was hit in the parking lot outside of our room.
It was always great to visit with or see him on occasional visits to Vineland. He was also a hit at a couple of our last reunions. Fred had lots of stories to tell, and loved sharing them,

Carol and I are so very sorry for your loss. It was a pleasure knowing your Dad and talking (or should I say yelling) to him. The world was a better place because of him. He made a difference.

Janice, Lisa, Michelle, and Andrew....I have so many memories of Fred.Cutting his grass, always in his garden-he would always send me home with veggies, and having cookies and milk at the kitchen table on a hot summer night. When he would see me drive into my parents driveway he would always whistle and ask how I was doing. I am fortunate that my daughter will also have great memories of him. Fred, I will miss you.
