Obituary of Fred Mastrogiovanni

Fred Joseph Mastrogiovanni, 76, of Vineland, passed away on May 13, 2015 at home after a long hospital stay, having had survived seven different types of cancer. Fred graduated from Vineland High School in 1956, wher he was the standing guard for the undefeated 1955 VHS Championship Football Team. In 1961, he married his true love Arlene Yacovelli. After marrying he joined the Army where he was stationed in Bamberg, Germany from 1961-1963. Fred was a mason for 43 years having been a member of the Local 5 B.L.U. and later for the Local 48, retiring in 2002. He was also a member of the Minotola American Legion Post 270. Fred was an avid fisherman and enjoyed landscaping his yard. He also enjoyed restoring furniture and making wine. Mostly Fred enjoyed spending time with his family, especially attending his grandchildrens school and sporting events. He will be greatly missed by his canine companion Oreo.
