Obituary of Corrine "Corky" M Joffe

Corinne "Corky" Miriam (Board) Joffe, 84, passed away on Tuesday, May 5th, 2015. She leaves behind her daughters, Wendy Gurowitz (Steven) and Leslie Wolf; two grandchildren, Lyndsey Gurowitz Furman (Daniel) and Steven Wolf (Erika); two great-grandchildren Jacob and Morgan; and many close friends. Corky was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 23rd in the year 1930. She met her beloved husband Sol Gilbert Joffe and they were married on February 6th of 1947. Sol and Corky settled in Vineland, New Jersey where they were leaders in the community and surrounded themselves with many special family and friends. They were very active in the Jewish community, belonging to Jewish Federation, Hadassah, and Temple Beth Israel where she was President of the Sisterhood. Corky was a successful real estate agent and loved to play bridge and canasta. She also was an avid golfer, belonging to the Buena Vista Country Club. She loved to host dinner parties where she would encourage singing and dancing around the piano. Corky lived a beautiful life - she was an amazing woman, daughter, wife, mother, sister-in-law and friend. She will be dearly missed by all. Graveside Services and Burial will be held Friday at 2:00 pm from Alliance Cemetery, Gershel Ave, Norma.
