Dear Rudy Jr. & Family,
Though I have never met any of you, I do remember your Dad. My Parents were Maurice & Rose Melini we lived on a farm in Richland in the fifty's & sixty's.
Your Dad who was 18 years older than me but younger than my parents was a frequent visitor. I don't remeber the conection because I was very young.
What I do remember was the respect and admiration my parents had for him. I can remember vividly his soft spoken maner and many kitchen table conversations.
I never had occasion to see him again as our lives went in different directions but I never forgot the Man he was.
May God Bless & give you strength in his memory.

I was making a special effort to contact the family of Rudolph to send my condolences, and to bring you some comfort from the scriptures which I found to be consoling with a wonderful hope for the future. Notice what it says in John 5:28, 29, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." Also Revelation 21:4 says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." So this is very encouraging what God promises for the future, and in God's appointed time we will see the reality. Again, my condolences for your loss.

It is with sincere regret that we(The Greater Vineland Baseball League) express our deepest sympathy to Marcella and the entire Rossi family on the passing of our fellow baseball player and friend, Rudy Rossi. I know I speak for the entire Greater Vineland Baseball League in stating that Rudy was not only a "Hall of Fame" pitcher in our league but was a "gentleman" both on and off the field.
He was a major contributor in keeping the Greater Vineland Baseball League banquets alive, always willing to contribute his services to whatever task he was asked to perform.
Frank, Lou and myself will miss our get together for our luncheon engagements, when we ate, laughed and most of all reminisced about our days on the ball field.
For me, personally, I will miss our conversations on my back porch when we would not only talk baseball but our Navy days during WWII but most of all his cheerful laugh and smile.
RIP Rudy, you will be long remembered by all who knew you.
