Obituary of Vining Cutter Bailey

Vining Cutter Bailey (Bill Bailey), 90 yrs., of Vineland, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2015, of natural causes, with his loving family by his side. There will be a private family service. Vining was born in Simsbury, CT to Dewey and Hazel Bailey. He graduated from UConn with a degree in business. His studies included forestry and conservation. He worked many years as a metallurgist for American Gas Furnace Co. and retired from Siemens Communications in Cherry Hill. He served in the US Navy and flew the amphibious PBY sea rescue planes on missions, in the Aleutians, during WWII. He was a wildlife enthusiast, fisherman, hunter, carpenter, and avid dog lover. He is predeceased by his wife, Lorraine nee Uliase, of 53 years, his brother, Adin and sister, Vivian. He will be missed by his sister, June, his children: Katherine Bailey Roye (Winston), William V. Bailey, and Mary Bailey Harvey (William), his 3 grandchildren: Brad, Lori and Brooke, and his great grandchildren: Cristian, Kylie, and Nicholas. Memorial donations may be made to the Cumberland County SPCA.
