Obituary of Esther Tucker

Esther Tucker, 85, of Vineland passed away at home with her loving family by her side on Monday Dec. 8, 2014. She was born July 19, 1929 and raised in Philadelphia, the daughter of Albert and Bessie Brownstein. She met her husband, Stanley Tucker, through a close friend and they were married Feb. 27, 1949. They were married for 53 years until his death in 2002. Esther was a homemaker devoted to her husband, daughters and grandchildren. She was always available to help her children in any way possible and especially enjoyed cooking for her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and others whose lives she touched. Esther was predeceased by her husband Stanley and son-in-law Bruce Rosenwasser. She is survived by her daughters Linda Rosenwasser and Karen Gross and her husband Andrew. She is also survived by grandchildren Brooke Rosenwasser, Julia (Hyman) Howells and husband Gareth, great grandson Jacob Howells, as well as brother-in-law and sister in-law Hartley and Ruth Tucker. The family is grateful to Veronica Bruce, who provided her care the last five years. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm, conducted by Rabbi Alfredo Winter on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ.. Friends will be received one hour prior. Burial will be in Old Rosenhayn Hebrew Cemetery, Rosenhayn, NJ. Shiva will be observed at her daughter Linda's home.
