Obituary of Vincenzo DeThomasis

Vincenzo DeThomasis, 85, of Vineland passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014 after a brief illness. Vincenzo was born on February 26, 1929, in San Tommaso, Italy. He moved to the United States with his family in 1970, and has resided in Vineland ever since. Vincenzo was a mason by trade and worked in Italy and Luxembourg. While here in the United States he was employed by Stanker and Galetto and then at DeThomasi's Five Points Inn where he worked together with his two sons, Carlo and Bruno, as well as his wife, Gemma. He enjoyed travelling to his hometown in Italy with his family. His children and grandchildren brought him the greatest joy. He was happiest when his entire family was in his home for dinner. Vincenzo will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Gemma (DeAcetis) DeThomasis, a son, Carlo DeThomasi and his wife Renee (Cinotti) DeThomasi, daughter-in-law, Regina DeThomasi; grandchildren, Vincenzo, Carmine, Antonio and Nicola. Vincenzo is predeceased by his son, Bruno DeThomasi and his parents Carmine and Concetta DeThomasis.
