Obituary of Marian L Colla

Marian (Valenza) Colla passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2014. Marian was born in New York City, moving to Hammonton, NJ as a child. She worked on the family farm before moving to Vineland to work as a seamsress in th DiPaola clothing factory. She married her husband Leonardo "Leon" Colla on jan. 11, 1948. They spent their honeymoon friving cross country to California. This love of travel would be a constant in their marriage. They traveled to many countries on 4 different continents. Marian worked with her husband on the Colla farm until Leon became a produce broker at the Vineland Produce Auction. Marian served a vice-president and bookkeeper for Leon Colla, Inc. They raised their three daughters in a loving household, where Marian was known as an excellent cook. Her many different Italian cookies at Christmas were the highlight of the year. She was amember of St. Isidore's Church, Christ the Good Shepherd Parish.
