Obituary of Viola Horvath

Viola ("Vi") Horvath 89 of Vineland passed away at Lincoln Specialty Care Center, peacefully in her sleep on August 31st after an extended illness. She was born in New York, NY on November 15, 1924 to the late Margaret and Anthony Frana. After the early passing of her father, she was raised by her mother Margaret and step-father Nicholas Mrakovich. Upon graduating from High School and College, she was employed by Doerr Glass Company for most of her career. Vi was an avid Phillies fan, enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking for family and friends, shopping, chocolates, flowers, bird watching and traveling to many destinations (with Hawaii being her favorite "paradise"). She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Parish/Christ The Good Shephard in Vineland. She leaves behind her caring, devoted lifelong sweetheart and husband of 66 years, Dominic Horvath. Other survivors include her loving children: daughter, Barbara (Horvath) Frasnelli (James Formisano), son Gerald (Gerry) Horvath, cherished grandchildren: John Horvath, Jr., (Tiffany Miller) Audra Frasnelli (Jeff Bates) and Michael Frasnelli (wife Jessica). Four great grandchildren whom she was always proud of: Gabriella & Gianna Horvath and Alura & Lauren Frasnelli. She is also survived by her sister Lillian Palmonari in addition to several nieces and nephews. She also left behind her neighbor guardian angels, Mac & Mark Sockwell and Patty Crudo. Along with her mother, father and step-father, Vi is predeceased by her son John Horvath, Sr. and son-in-law Anthony ("Fras") Frasnelli III. She was also a 50 year survivor of breast cancer. A funeral Home Visitation will be on Thursday, September 4 from 10am to 12 noon followed by a funeral Service beginning at 12 noon, at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland, NJ. Arrangements are under the supervision of Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08360.
