Obituary of Lewis Caregnato

Lewis V. Caregnato, 86, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2007, at South Jersey Heathcare Hospicecare Inpatient Center, Bridgeton. Born in Vineland, he was a life long resident. Lewis was owner and operator of Caregnato Farms for many years. From 1942 until his retirement in 1985, he was a volunteer fireman for the South Vineland Fire Company #2. After working his way up, Lewis served the last eight years as an Assistant Fire Chief. Lewis He was honored with the Fireman Of The Year award in 1982. Lewis was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church in Fairton for over 25 years. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. In his younger years he enjoyed flying bi-planes and watching local sky divers in the area. He also enjoyed playing Santa Claus at the Evanoff Center in Vineland.
