Obituary of William R Armstrong Jr.

William "Doc" R. Armstrong Jr, 68, from Vineland, passed away at home on March 3 2014 after a brief illness with his loving family and friends by his side. He served in the US Army for 2 years, then worked and retired from the International Bricklayers Union. He enjoyed cooking, playing golf, having a good time with family and friends, and was an active member of the Recreation Club in Vineland for many years. He is survived by his father William Armstrong Sr. and his companion Linda Jessen; brother Robert; former wife Suzanne and husband-in-law Bruce Bacon; three daughters Stephanie (Jare Brooks), Brandi (Reggie Allen) and Carla (Desmond Purnell); 6 grandchildren; extended family Bruce (Lori) Bacon, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Bacon, Jill (Stephen) McClennen; a special niece Tracey (Suggs) and two nephews Robert and William. He was predeceased by his mother Agnes (Gustafson). A Funeral Home Visitation will be on Saturday, March 8 from 9am to 11am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ.
