Obituary of Louise Schwartz

Louise (Boorstein) Schwartz, 87, of Rydal, Pa. and formerly of Vineland, NJ, passed away on January 29, 2014. Louise was born in Bayonne, NJ, on July 6, 1926, to Isadore and Hazel Boorstein. She graduated from Cornell University in 1947 with a degree in Sociology. She married Alfred N. Schwartz in 1949 and was married to him until his death in 1986. They resided in Vineland where they were both very active in Beth Israel Congregation and other Jewish organizations. She is a past president of the Beth Israel Sisterhood and served on the Chevrah Kadishah board of Alliance Cemetary for many years. She was an avid bridge player, reader, golfer and excelled at needle work. She was also passionate about art and music. She is survived by her daughters, Randy Jill Schwartz (Jay Finestone) of Elkins Park, Pa. and Harriet Schwartz Crew (Geoffrey) of Action, Massachusetts, and grandchildren Alexander Crew, Adam Finestone, Laura Finestone and Hilary Crew. Shiva will be observed at the home of Randy Schwartz and Jay Finestone Saturday and Sunday
