Let's get it in the papers Fri March 6 or Saturday March 7. Let me know if there are any proplems.. OBITUARY Lucy W. Capece, 79, died from lung cancer on Monday, February 9, in an assisted living care facility, Culpepper Place, Paducah, KY. She was the wife of the late Ralph P. Capece of Vineland, NJ who died in 1997. Mrs. Capece was born in Janesville (Smithmills), PA on August 23, 1929, daughter of the late Domizio and Catharina Wulderk. In 1930, the family moved from Janesville to Bridgeton, NJ. In 1947, Mrs. Capece graduated from Bridgeton High School. She married Ralph Capece in 1948, and she and her husband moved to Norwalk, CT. In 2002, after her husband had passed away, she moved to Vineland, NJ. In late 2008, she moved from Vineland to Culpepper Place. Mrs. Capece worked as a secretary for the Boy Scouts of America and the law firm of Slavitt, Conery and Vardamis in Norwalk. In addition, Mrs. Capece was active in her community and church. While a resident of Norwalk, she co-chaired booths at St. Matthew's Christmas fairs; assisted with musicals for St. Matthew and St. Thomas; assisted Temple Shalom at their first fair; was president of the John D. Magrath School Garden Club; co-chaired Citizens for Norwalk Community College; was assistant editor of St. Matthew's bi-annual periodical, The Messenger; was a member of the Sons of Italy, Pietro Mica Lodge # 744. Mrs. Capece also worked on many elections. In Vineland she was a member of the '47 Club. Mrs. Capece is survived by her two sons, Vincent Capece and Matthew Capece; grandchildren, Mark Capece and Erin Walter; and five sisters, Martha Graham, Miranda Robbins, Clementine Costantino, Laura Wulderk, and Anna Cobb. She was pre-deceased by her three brothers; Theodore, Paul, and Arthur Wulderk. There will be a wake on Friday, March 20, from 7:00-9:00 pm at Rone Funeral Home, 1110 E. Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ; and a Memorial Mass on Saturday, March 21, at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 1010 E. Landis Avenue, Vineland, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Holy Name College, 1650 St. Camillus Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20903; Poor Clare Nuns, 3501 Rocky River Drive, Cleveland, OH 44111; or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
