Obituary of Frank A. Capece

Frank A. Capece, 91, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012 at home. Born in New Castle, Pa, he was a Vineland resident most of his life In his earlier years he worked at DeRossi and Sons Clothing Company making military uniforms and men's suits. He then enlisted in the US Navy serving during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. When he returned home from the Navy, he worked in the maintenance department for the Cumberland County Road Department. He then went to work for the City of Vineland in the boiler maintenance department for the Vineland Electric Power Plant. He retired in 1983 after 35 1/2 years of employment. He also worked part-time for the Pic-a-lilli Inn on Route 206. Frank enjoyed doing small painting jobs. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, embroidery, stamp collecting and recycling old objects. He loved animals, including feeding the birds and building bird houses. Frank always enjoyed helping others. He was a member of the DC Rod & Gun Club and was a parishioner and usher at Sacred Heart Church.
